Glorious Comprehensive School was established on the 4th September, 2000. The school resumed lectures on Monday 11th September, 2000, for her 2000/2001 academic year. The school was formerly Global Comprehensive College

The school is a sole-proprietorship of Mr. GILBERT IKECHI O of Mbutu Ngwa in Isiala Ngwa south L.G.A. Abia State.

Glorious has continued to maintain high sense of discipline from it’s inception.

The first P.T.A. meeting of the school was held on Wednesday the 6th June, 2001. The social society of Glorious was officially launched on 28th June, 2001. This society serves as an umbrella body for already existing independent societies; Debating Society, Choral society and Cultural society. 

The school had their first official match past on 1st October 2001 at Omoba sports stadium to Mark the 41st independence anniversary; the event in which the school excelled.

Glorious is the home of sports and academic excellence. No one in various forms of ball and athletics in general.

The establishment of skills acquisition center for entrepreneurship study subjects has build confidence in students. Under this, students engage into chalks and paints production, decoration, computer and electrical installation.

The school is a center for BECE, NECO and WAEC Examinations.

Till date, the school parades a battery of young qualified and dedicated staff.
